I scored a bunch of old sewing hoops a month or so ago at a local thrift store.
I don't sew but I thought they could be used to hold fabric wall art.
Something like this:
So one down, about 10 more to go. Some hoops are big, some are small and some are oval.
I don't think I want to use them all this way. Any ideas on what else I could do with these?
i think YOU could put anything on it and make it cute.
ReplyDeleteand i also think that i NEED something like that. very cute!
a
great idea! if you're looking to do a whole wall, with a few hoops, you could vary the fabrics to get a nice (no-sew) effect.
ReplyDeletebut i do also love the flowers you have shown above :)
Sorry, I've got no new ideas for the hoops, but I wanted to say I love what you've done. Think it looks great.
ReplyDeleteHi Aaron, This is good. You could take several more, keeping all the colors neutral and have a collage on a wall mixed with some frames, just frames, no pictures or backing, that would be a conversation piece. You can take pictures and apply them to fabric in a number of ways and frame those as well. Imagine, imagine, thanks for the inspiration and I sew!
ReplyDeletereally cute idea, love those hoops and of course those great burlap flowers!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up with VIF!

ReplyDeleteI have in my "To Do" file using the outside ring and putting 2 pairs of curtains on it, putting ribbon on each side where the curtains meet and haning it from a pot hook over a bed. Hope spring will get me going on some of my to do things. ~~Sherry~~
