Mother's Day

It's Mother's Day weekend and me and my little Punky Brewster are headed to see my Momma tomorrow and spend some quality time.  I will be taking the Mother's Day presents I made for her with me of course.

I was going to make my Momma a breast cancer ribbon book page wreath {she is a breast cancer survivor and I'm so proud of her} but it somehow morphed into this:

It's a book page wreath with two "tiers".  The center features a white coffee filter with a pink crepe paper flower with a vintage button center.

I think this is a little more "Mother's Day" looking than what I had originally planned.  I think I will save the Breast Cancer ribbon wreath for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

She also mentioned that she like my altered peat pot bird's nest.  I sold 11 of them from my Etsy shop yesterday, but luckily I set one aside last week for her.

To all of you mothers out there, I wish you a very happy Mother's Day!  For everyone else, make sure you spoil the mothers in your life rotten this weekend!  :)  Are you reading this honey?!  Hmm, probably not.

  1. I love the wreath! And your mother is going to love it, too! Will you be making more of the little birds...they are precious!

Happy Mother's Day to you, Aaron!

  2. I love this wreath! I have some vintage books that would be so pretty like this. The birdies are adorable too. :)

  3. Sweet! I just scored an idea for my MIL for this mother's day. That is a very thoughtful gift, given that your mom is a cancer survivor...

  4. Oh my gosh! I love that wreath! I love the pink in honor of your Mother being a survivor of breast cancer! She's going to love the peat pot too!!!

  5. The wreath looks like a big flower! Love it.

  6. I really like your projects, Aaron. The wreath is extra special with the pink touch for your mom.
